Ahead of next year’s COP26, Wilton Park is running a series of events on defence and security related climate issues, focusing on international consensus for climate security risk management.
This first event sees international defence and security experts in dialogue with policy makers, sustainability experts and industry representatives. Participants will share best practices and new ideas to reduce the environmental impact of the military and increase efficiency, endurance and effectiveness.
Where should military organisations focus effort to increase sustainability? What are the challenges and opportunities? Through international dialogue we can agree how to maximise opportunities through innovation and collaboration.
The outcome is to identify actions which can be taken forward now and over the next five years, with a view to commitment and deliverable agreement at COP26.
