This meeting discussed how the UK can optimise the impact of its growing ODA research investments on development outcomes. It generated an open roundtable dialogue, bringing together policy makers, researchers and development practitioners from across the globe to explore three critical themes:
- How to ensure that the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) is focused on the right problems?
- What approaches to research procurement, partnerships and management are most likely to drive impact?
- How can the GCRF make a sustained contribution to building capacity and capability for research in developing countries?
