Making 1 billion people safer from disaster by 2025. Recommendations and progress to scale up pilots, what needs to happen next.
The Risk-informed Early Action Partnership (REAP) aims to make 1 billion people safer from disaster by 2025.
Early and anticipatory approaches have been piloted and the results have been resoundingly positive, more quickly providing assistance and dignity for those assisted. The pilots need to be scaled-up and in June 2022 REAP report made six recommendations. But we are not seeing the scale up at pace.
This event is taking stock of what, if any, progress has been made since May and what needs to happen next.
In partnership with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), Federal Government of Germany, Risk-informed Early Action Partnership (REAP) and Centre for Disaster Protection.
