In partnership with the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) and Vietnam Television Training Center, Wilton Park helped to facilitate a two day workshop for journalists in Vietnam.
Sessions focused on ‘the why’ and ‘the how’ of reporting disaster risk reduction stories, how to ‘sell’ stories to editors and turning science into news. The workshop included a field trip and a chance to pitch their news stories to a selection of editors.
This follows on from our conference organised with ADPC the previous week focusing on mitigating the flooding risk in urban areas in the river deltas in Asia.
