The conference will explore how global health security might be improved through international cooperation, with particular reference to the benefits and risks of dual-use biological science. It will seek to address the nexus of such work with the Global Partnership against the spread of weapons and materials of mass destruction, and the work programme of the Biological & Toxin Weapons Convention, including topics such as improving biosafety and biosecurity.
