This historic one-day event in the House of Commons in the centenary year of women’s suffrage in the UK brought together women Members of Parliament from around the world to celebrate their achievements, discuss how to strengthen visibility, and further empower women parliamentarians to continue to drive change nationally and internationally.
Wilton Park was delighted to support this historic event by shaping the programme and providing project management, in partnership with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Department for International Development, Government Equalities Office, British Council, and Westminster Foundation for Democracy.
The report summarises an excellent day of discussion, sharing good practice and ideas including about how women parliamentarians are tackling backlash, supporting more women into parliament.
