This dialogue builds on our previous event exploring NATO’s new ‘deterrence baseline’ and the future of extended nuclear deterrence. Participants will discuss deterrence scenarios that are relevant to NATO and how theory can support with tailored deterrence insights, and will build understanding of new deterrence theories in a NATO context.
The event will also consider the similarities, differences, and complementarities between different Allies’ deterrence perspectives, and contrast these to Russian understanding.
