This dialogue formed a follow on discussion from the first dialogue held on 17 April on ‘Reinvigorating the response to AMR’. This second discussion built on the priority issues identified for action to reprioritise AMR on the political agenda in the 18 months in the lead up to the UN High Level Meeting on AMR in September 2024.
The dialogue focused specifically on creating the narrative to re-engage policy leaders to position AMR as a priority on the political agenda, including the development of targets to focus action and political asks. The outcomes of this discussion will provide the cornerstone for an in-person deep dive towards the end of the year, both engaging parliamentarians and stakeholders beyond the health sector, including the private sector.
