Projections indicate that people of mixed race will constitute the largest ethnic grouping in the UK at some point in the next 20-30 years. There are complexities with regard to definitions, the related data, and the way in which identity is perceived and owned, but the fact remains that an increasing number of people come from transnational families with different geographical, ethnic and faith backgrounds.
