The seventh British-German Environment Forum (BGEF), the first with us, brought together policy makers and practitioners from business, public agencies and the voluntary sector to discuss whether the crisis of growth is a threat or opportunity for sustainable development.
The UK and Germany have valuable and contrasting policy experience and traditions to share and build upon.
This conference examined a return to trend growth scenarios and whether the decoupling of prosperity and growth is possible. It also examined how best to facilitate transition to a low carbon economy and aid greener growth in developing countries.
