Videos from Wilton Park’s event Going further, faster, together: towards a global, multi-faith, women-led climate action network. In this video playlist participants discuss why it is vital for women and women faith leaders to be involved in discussions around climate action, at all levels from grassroots to policy making. Also discussed were the roles young people can play in these conversations; as they are discussing their futures, it is essential they have a seat at the table. While considering all which needs to be done, our participants spoke about how important it is to have hope when working in difficult circumstances. This event was held in partnership with British Embassy Holy See, International Union Superiors General, Embassy of Ireland Holy See, and Islamic Relief Worldwide. With support from Project Dandelion and UNEP’s Faith for Earth Coalition.
The Women, Faith and Climate Network created from this dialogue was launched by Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland and founder of Project Dandelion at COP29.
